Jason Donatini serves as the BumbleBee Foundation’s President and is also the Co-Founder. After graduation Jason began studying political science but left to pursue a career in the HVAC industry while simultaneously completing his certification in an apprentice training program. Jason is currently the Vice President for Vision Mechanical Services.
The BumbleBee foundation was born of Jason’s vision as he and his wife were so moved by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family and community when their son Jarren was diagnosed with liver cancer. In part of his role in the foundation Jason has a fervent desire to support fathers of pediatric cancer children. He is a passionate Christian and a devoted husband and father who enjoys cooking, golf, and traveling.

Heather serves as the board’s CFO and secretary. She is also the co-founder of BumbleBee Foundation. Heather is a Liberal Studies graduate from Cal Poly Pomona. She worked as an Executive Assistant for many years at a Graduate University of Medical Sciences before quitting to be a stay at home mom with the arrival of her first son, Jarren. After Jarren’s passing, Heather and her husband Jason created the BumbleBee Foundation to assist other families on their cancer journey.
Heather is grateful to have the opportunity to run the foundation’s day-to-day operations and enjoys being able to share love and hope with cancer kids that become a part of her “family.” Heather is still a very involved stay-at-home mom to two more blessings that bring much love and grace. She is as passionate about her faith in Christ as she is about her family and BumbleBee.

Christopher Dukes, is the owner at Dukes Wealth Management where he has helped over five-hundred clients in Los Angeles make proactive and wise financial decisions. He has experience working on the boards for other foundations including the Boys and Girls Club.
In the 2007 blockbuster Transformers movie one of the main transformers "BumbleBee" fights danger to protect humankind. It was Heather and Jason's son Jarren's favorite movie...and it's the reason the BBF was named the BumbleBee Foundation! Christopher Dukes was an actor in the film and that's when we knew beyond a doubt that Christopher was meant to BEE on the board!
More recently, Christopher is known for his work as an actor on Mission Save Her (2016), Fresh Off the Boat (2017) and Between Us (2012). We're thrilled to have Christopher on our board and look forward to his expertise and guidance on the BBF board this year.

Melissa Bumstead first met the BumbleBee Foundation when her daughter Grace was four and fighting a rare form of Leukemia. After Grace was declared cancer free in 2016, Melissa began freelancing web and graphic design work for the BBF. One thing led to another and Melissa was soon involved in almost all aspects of the foundation. Becoming a board member was the next logical step. In addition to her involvement with the BBF Melissa loves to spend time with her family and her hobbies include writing, gardening, and advocating for childhood cancer and environmental causes.
